What she had not been able to do last year, on the occasion of the Italian Championships (due to a flu attack two weeks earlier), yesterday Francesca managed to make her the most prestigious and historic Italian race, that is the race of her sponsor Paolo and Alessandro Guerciotti.
Francesca immediately demonstrated from the beginning that she wanted to finally put the seal and it was so, winning solo.
The only negative note of the day, the missed double. Jakob Dorigoni, author of a great performance, had to settle for a bitter second place, losing in the sprint with Sacha Weber almost at the photo finish. Unfortunately for Dorigoni, in the last part of the course, in the obstacle zone, a puncture cost him the victory.
Great success with the public and athletes for an event that always attracts all cyclocross fans, also enriched by a valid parterre of foreign athletes.
